Wikileaks. Too Much To Compromise?

Hilary Clinton, Secretary of State, announced on 1st December (2010) that Wikileaks recent documents published online were "an attack on the international community, the alliances and partnerships, the conventions and negotiations that safeguard global security and advance economic prosperity".

I believe that though the public of a country requires knowing certain aspects of their government’s projects and planning, they also have the right to keep confidential investigations, communications and strategies private and quite. The issue of Wikileaks in recent news has compelled countries to justify for the unknown truth, which can create conflict if the subject is not defended in white light.

The issue is becoming more and more risky for government officials, security institutions and most importantly the ordinary civilians as the information is piped through the highly accessible Internet worldwide. This puts Secret Intelligence and the military abroad at immense danger as their planning and strategies can be intersected at a very early age in time.
As the purpose of Wikileaks progresses, ordinary civilians who played little to the world politics would begin doubting their own government, institutions and people creating an opportunity for non-violent cival war within the country. It will take great effort for the government to keep the trust of their people as Wikileaks puts all countries on their toes for their private communications.
I though, still believe that the war on Iraq and Afghanistan need to be acknowledged for every individual, as it has created turmoil as tangents around the globe. I therefore write with an opinion that Wikileaks initial publishes were a great record put in public however the recent claims create doubts which can hurt the international community slowly.

Globalization... What is it?

Globalization is the network created between countries around the globe through trade, communication and transportation. Globalization as a result allows wider range of ideas, interaction and knowledge for other traditions, culture and system of economics to the wider community. The process has increased over recent years due to the need for specialization in resources, peace between countries and expand the knowledge for other beings and their ethics.

I believe that Globalization plays a vital role in our lives today as it tries to implement equality amongst all cultures and diminish the discrimination or negative thought to any religion. Nevertheless, globalization is only possible between countries that are willing to accept and widen their interactions with (maybe) a new school of thought. It brings great advantage to a country too as it can depend on aid or support from the international globalized community in any situation. There might be barriers from countries such as not accepting the process but they would not see the advantage unless minds open up to a new light and analyze, if globalization does actually afflict their culture.

A difference between the two?

To begin with, the real meaning of ‘Communism’ has changed from its original historic definition given my Karl Marx. In today’s language, communism can be thought as a “one party operating under centrally planned economies” which is different from Marx’s theory of a “classless society structured upon common ownership.” I believe that this transition occurred as in Marx’s time, the working class wanted to implement one market where the means of production were common amongst all owners; however this is different today due to the sudden rise in power of one individual who “is the main producer of wealth in society.” This rise in power of one individual is, what I believe, communism today. The individual may say that their society is a ‘transitional socialist system’ however it is evident today that one individual controls the actions of their country. In addition, I believe that communism will not stand too long for a country, like Soviet Union, as it can be associated as a self-sufficient country with certain loose end such as trade.
Socialism, nevertheless only differs minutely to communism as in Marxist theory, socialism “is just a transitional stage on the way to communism.” Looking back in history, socialism happened due to a ‘political movement’ where the industrial capitalism hypothetically wanted to achieve a form of society. Socialism works towards freedom for the individual which can lead to communism for the country as a result.
